About the Item

Important American Federal Period Secretary. School of John and Thomas Seymour, Boston, circa 1820. Mahogany and Mahogany Veneered Case on Pine Secondary Wood. Two Gothic Fenestrated Doors in upper case over two Gothic colonnaded and blind doors. Base has drop front writing surface and pull out drawer. All on fluted tapered legs. Beautiful Boston craftsmanship. Provenance: Distinguished Private Collection, Newport
