About the Item
Handcrafted during the 19th century, this 19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Stripped Pine Secretary is ideal for the casual decor with its clean lines and sublime functionality. The tailored lines ensure its compatibility with almost any decor. The classic volute-shaped crown contains a full-width drawer that is situated over the drop front door that opens to reveal a slanted desktop, two cubby hole shelves and a trio of drawers fitted with inset turned knobs. The cabinet doors below open to reveal even more convenient storage! The tailored lines reflect the age which was a radical departure from the indulgences of past kings, and remains popular almost two centuries later due to its ability to subtly blend with almost any decor. Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
