About the Item

19th-century Swedish pine secretary featuring traditional carved fluted diamonds on the upper doors. This secretary has been given a newer professionally layered painted finish—black exterior with contrasting antique white interior and is all lightly distressed fitting the age and grace of this Swedish bureau. Upper interior fitted with 13 petite drawers and three cubbies for organized storage. Key functions for upper cabinet and desk lock, though stiffly, and may be used as a pull instead. Four lower drawers with typical age separation in the bottoms and small holes where old pine knots have fallen out. Restored, strong, and stable; ready for use. Typical age-related separations visible along the back. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
