About the Item
Various veneer on solid wood. Built by the Ebenisten Jean Henri Riesener. High rectangular body. In the front two doors. Behind the writing board is an architecturally richly structured office layout with secret compartments. Stepped crowning with one-off completion. Slightly overhanging mottled marble top. The entire body is rich in marquetry and chased brass fittings. Beautiful patina, with shellac hand polish.
