Antique Fall Front Secretary Desk in solid oak, England, late 18th to early 19th Century. This is a wonderful English antique fall front secretary desk in solid oak with brass fittings. It features a strong and sturdy design with nicely sculpted feet. Very elegant yet robust and with a great stance. Beautiful wood grain and rich color - a very nice patina overall. The inside shows various compartments, drawers and also some hidden storage areas. It comes in a good and honest original condition. Please note: the current brass fittings are most likely a later - early 20th century - addition.
