About the Item

This Biedermeier secretary comes from Austria and was made in 19th century. It is made of coniferous wood, veneered with maple wood. It has undergone a professional renovation process. Surface finished with black shellac polish applied by hand with a pad to a high gloss with pores obliterated, which apart from excellent visual effect protects and cares for the wood. Interior veneered with maple wood. The piece features three drawers with beautiful handles. The flap out top is lockable with a key. It unfolds easily into a writing top revealing a section with multiple practical compartments. It is a truly distinctive piece of furniture from the Biedermeier period. Slender tapered legs give it lightness and elegance. The piece is in overall beautiful condition, ready for everyday use.
