Dutch secretary desk, Netherlands, around 1800.
This elegantly curved secretary desk has three spacious drawers in the lower part. The writing flap opens to a beautiful interior with six small drawers, four open and some secret compartments. The central small door is flanked by small pilasters with brass capitals and bases. They can be pulled out and used as secret compartments for letters.
The desk stands out for its love for details and the very pretty mahogany veneer.
The brass fittings are original. Part of the writing surface is covered with green leather. The secretary desk is sold in original condition.
It ships from Germany and includes shipping costs to Boston.

This original 18th century Louis XVI Secretaire has a stunning veneer and marquetry.
