About the Item
Early 19th-century Danish oak secretary bureau with a newer professionally applied antique white painted exterior finish and a contrasting muted gray interior. The serpentine front enhances the visual appeal of both the upper and lower sections.
The drop-front desktop opens (with no key nor lock) and rests on extending arms, revealing a well-organized interior fitted with ten small drawers and a central cubby that opens with a key. The lower base contains four functioning drawers, each fitted with two brass pulls. Drawer bottoms show typical age-related plank separation for oak of this period; repairs were completed at an earlier time.
Minor cracks, scratches, and gouges are present throughout the interior and exterior, reflecting long use. Professionally restored, strong, and stable, this secretary is ready for use and offers a balanced combination of storage, craftsmanship, and classic Danish design. Built in two sections.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed.
