About the Item

Early 18th century burl walnut veneered bureau bookcase, the swan neck pediment flanking a turned and reeded urn, surmounted by four additional urn finials over double dome doors with later beveled glass enclosing a fully fitted interior with drawers, pigeon holes and tombstone arched door, several secret drawers and compartments, the fall front with similarly treated interior over two short and two long drawers and standing on shaped bracket feet, the brasses and decorative mounts with remarkable etched decoration, the whole with rich graining and in excellent restored condition.
