A fine Danish Louis XVI mahogany and fruitwood slant front secretaire, circa 1780-1790, in three parts: the scrolled cornice top above a fruitwood inlaid frieze and two cupboard doors. The slant front writing surface opening to a fitted interior with numerous drawers and an architectural central cupboard door, four long drawers below raised on scrolled bracket feet. 37.5 in depth when open.
