About the Item
A fine Italian baroque burl walnut secretary desk with a cartouche form mirrored panel beneath a deep scrolled pediment top and above two mirrored doors. The doors with a interior wood latch on left side open to reveal two removable shelves. The drop down door hides a center compartment flanked by two small drawers. The lower cabinet with three serpentine drawers having unusual drop pulls with cross banding throughout. The whole resting on shaped bracket feet. Comes with working key.
Dimensions: 50" W at base, 96" H, 39" H base, 22" D
Condition: Please see detail photos. There are various signs of age including crackalure and alligatoring, old repair to inside of top drawer, edge scrapes, nicks and general wear that is consistent with age and use, all mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is very refined.
