About the Item

Louis Philippe secretary desk veneered in mahogany, featuring a flat writing flap, two-door lower cabinet, and a top drawer. The piece stands on ball-and-claw feet that transition into octagonal columns, surmounted by half-columns with Ionic capitals adorned with festoon and foliate decoration. The curved upper section is richly embellished with a symmetrical relief of cornucopias and vine motifs. The interior comprises several drawers, a deep compartment, and a lockable central section, articulated with miniature columns in an architectural layout. Expertly restored and hand-polished.
