About the Item
An exquisite 19th century Rococo secretary in mahogany with bombe front
sides, with floral
foliate inlays in tulipwood, kingwood
satinwood on the top, front panels of the drawer, slant-top, and sides. Marquetry inlays on the lower sides of the chest depict a winged-female figure. Slant-top opens to writing desk with six small drawers
open shelving. Chest rests on cabriole legs ending in leaf-scroll feet. Features all original brass foliate pulls, key plates
working locks. Continental Europe, either Italian, Dutch or Flemish, circa mid to late 1800's. Restored in our workshop with French-polish finish.
Measures: 34" wide x 21" deep (30" when open) x 43" high; 31 1/2" high from floor to writing surface
