Table Top Escritoire with Revolving Tabernacle
This piece is made in superb Walnut veneers, it is of European in origin with many drawers and a disguised central section, it has a cylindrical door at the centre which conceals a revolving secret compartment, on the reverse side of the cabinet hangs a fairly crude pearl cross.
A very attractive piece of furniture in walnut marquetry with many drawers and its own history, the condition is generally sound and attractive with a few age related blemishes
