1970s UMBO Modular Shelving Unit Designed by Kay LeRoy Ruggles For Directional, Made In The USA, 26 Uniroyal ABS Pieces, Brown In Color.
This Is A Vintage 1970s Iconic Modular Shelving Unit Called UMBO For Directional. The UMBO Modular Shelving Unit Allows One To Create Their Own Custom Shelving Configurations.
The UMBO Is Made Of Uniroyal ABS, A Substance That Is Durable, Nontoxic And More Heat Resistant Than Wood. The UMBO Is The Same
ABS As Telephones Back In The Day Were Made Of. The Color Was Sprayed On In The Factory And Should Not Chip Off Under Normal Use.
For Care Uniroyal Recommends Soap And Water And Car Wax Or Car Polishing Compound To Finish If Need Be.
Great Vintage Condition For Its Age And Use. There Are A Few Scuffs Here And There Due To Use Throughout The Years.
There Are 26 Individual Interlocking Pieces. There Are Long And Short Straight Pieces, Small L Pieces, T Pieces, Small X Pieces And 2 Rare Flat Curved Pieces And Many Connecting Brackets.
5 - Small L Pieces: 8.5 Inches Long x 8.5 Inches Height x 12 Inches Wide.
10 - Small T Pieces: 16 Inches Long x 8 Inches Height x 12 Inches Wide.
3 - X Pieces: 16 Inches Long x 16 Inches Height x 12 Inches Wide.
2 - Long Straight Pieces: 32Inches Long x 12 Inches Wide.
2 - Flat Curved Pieces: 13 Inches x 13 Inches.
4 - Short Straight Pieces: 16 Inches Long x 12 Inches.
The Dimensions Of The Assembled Unit As Seen In Photos Listed Are: 53 Inches Tall (Counting The Height Of The Curve Piece) And Without The Curve 49 Inches Tall x 97 Inches Wide.
