19th century Italian giltwood shelf with angel and rococo-style carvings. The piece came from an important palazzo in Tuscany. It has faint green verdigris underlay with the gold leaf. The piece is hand-carved and hand-gilded. The two angels are depicted with trumpets and are intwined in the rococo foliage-pattern carvings. The Rococo-Revival piece is a rare and historical work of art that can grace any space.
