About the Item

Mind-boggling construction on this corner shelf- the artist used slats of camphor wood vertically and horizontally to create the necessary surface area. This irreverent approach also made for incredible structural integrity, although to look at it one must ask why?? Two shelves, excellent for plants. A finish of some sort appears to have been haphazardly applied to protect the wood. It is solid, and shows signs of use. Perhaps influenced by Robert Darling or Japanese architecture, this is a very Oregon built thing- resulting in a visually stunning (albeit time consuming) and unique piece of furniture. One of a kind.
