This is a black three-tiered rack from the Taisho period (1900-1926). It is finished with a beautiful urethane coating, giving it an elegant luster. The warm grain of the cherry wood is an accent, and the delicate decoration of the ginkgo surface adds a classical feel to the whole piece.
