An impressive and richly detailed pair of tall Anglo-Indian étagères, each constructed with turned hardwood supports and finished with finely woven rattan shelves, tooled leather edging, and brass corner mounts. These statement pieces combine exotic materials with colonial-era craftsmanship, offering both decorative charm and generous open storage.
Each étagère stands 72 inches high to the top of its domed finials, with a footprint of 36.5 inches wide by 24 inches deep. The top shelf surface measures 68 inches high, making it ideal for display. The three lower shelves are evenly spaced with 17-inch interior clearances: the second shelf sits at 50.5 inches, the third at 32.5 inches, and the lowest at 14.5 inches from the ground.
The rich patina of the leather-wrapped shelf edges, embossed with reptile-style texture, complements the natural tone of the rattan and the polished wood columns. Brass accents at the corners and finial tops add a subtle metallic contrast. These étagères are perfect for use as open bookcases, display shelving, or bar storage in a study, library, or curated living space.
