'Ladderax' shelving system
Two bay system. Seven wooden shelves (each with recessed metal supports), three metal 'ladder' uprights.
Unit: W 184.5 cm, D 35.5 cm, H 162.5 cm
Individual shelf boards: W 89.5 cm, D 35.5 cm
Lovely system in very good condition with only normal light signs of age and a few deeper scratches to a couple of shelves - not generally visible. This has the wide and deep shelves - ideal for display and vinyl record storage. The shelves can be fitted in any configuration on the 'ladders' - and the system can easily be added to and extended.
A very elegant, midcentury shelving system. The concept is similar to the 'String' system by Nisse Strinning and Kajsa Strinning. It would make a fantastic addition to a European mid-century themed modern interior. It works well together with the work of European and Scandinavian designers such as Alvar Aalto, Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen and Marcel Breuer.
