Rattan Étagère/Shelf
A refined and beautifully detailed Anglo-Indian three-tier étagère featuring a rich combination of materials and colonial-era craftsmanship. The structure is built around turned hardwood supports, crowned with domed finials, and joined by three generous open shelves composed of tightly woven rattan panels. Each shelf is edged in embossed leather with a crocodile texture, secured by brass corner mounts and decorative tacks that reinforce both form and function.
The piece stands 54.5 inches high to the top of the finials and measures 36.5 inches wide by 24 inches deep. The top shelf sits at 50.5 inches high, while the second shelf is positioned at 32.5 inches and the bottom shelf at 14.5 inches—each offering a usable interior height of approximately 17 inches, ideal for displaying books, baskets, or curated objects.
