About the Item

19th century swedish hand painted small sideboard circa 1860. We are pleased to offer this rustic piece of scandinavian furniture. Due to it's smaller size it is ideal for multiple rooms around the home such as the dining, kitchen or hallway. Stepped rectangular top with carved dentil freize, completed with a 3 inch gallery top. Single shallow drawer below the top surface, fitted with brass ring handles and key plate. Double door cupboard with fielded panel door fronts, open to reveal an interior of a single fixed shelf. Standing on ornate scrolling bracket feet. Ornate iron decorative handles to each side. Working lock and key. Later paint, which has since taken on a faded appearance, wearing through to the bare pine in places, evidence of minor dead inactive treated worm. Later brass hardware. Expected minor surface marks in line with age and use.
