About the Item

Credenza, model 603, with solid walnut construction and walnut veneer on top and doors. Both sides are slightly angled, giving the sideboard a lighter appearance. Two central doors open to a spacious compartment, flanked by curved corner drawers and side doors. Silvio Coppola was a renowned Italian furniture designer and architect whose work is celebrated for its craftsmanship, innovation, and modernist aesthetics. Coppola designed iconic pieces for major Italian furniture brands such as Bernini, Montina, Cassina, and Artemide, leaving a lasting mark on mid-century and postmodern furniture design. His creations, often crafted from walnut, pine, and leather, include extendable dining tables, geometric sideboards, and striking chairs. Founded in Mantua, Italy, in 1904, Bernini evolved into one of the most respected names in Italian design, celebrated for high-quality craftsmanship and innovative collaborations with prominent designers—such as Silvio Coppola, Carlo Scarpa, and Gaetano Pesce.
