Handsome 18th Century Italian Carved-Walnut Credenza Cabinet
Located in Atlanta, GA
An Italian carved walnut wood buffet credenza from the 18th century. This antique sideboard from Italy features rich walnut wood which has been carved with raised decorative cartouche plaques, in varying designs, about the front face. This piece has a rectangular-shaped top which slightly overhangs the case that is fitted with three small drawers set horizontally above a pair of doors at bottom (which open to a shelf on the inside, maximizing the storage potential of this piece). This chest is presented upon a pair of rail legs at either end with accolade carved skirt, turning to bracket-style front feet, and a single shapely carved foot/brace at front center of skirt that adds just enough lift/space between the case and the floor. The dark, rich wood has a wonderful old patina throughout; a showing of its centuries old age. Note that there have been prior repairs at the side and there is a slight bowing at top. Please refer to the additional images for further detail on the piece. This fabulous 18th century Italian walnut cabinet...

Carved Walnut Antique Italian Neoclassical Paw Foot Grand Sideboard
Located in Swedesboro, NJ
This carved walnut antique Italian neoclassical paw foot grand sideboard is a magnificent example of 19th-century craftsmanship, blending monumental scale with refined architectural detailing. Constructed from richly grained walnut, the sideboard features an impressive raised backsplash with paneled and fluted details, lending both presence and sophistication to its form. The front is divided into three paneled doors, each framed with intricate carving and centered with classical roundels, complemented by fluted pilasters and acanthus leaf embellishments. Above, three drawers provide convenient storage while echoing the symmetry and balance characteristic of the neoclassical style. The apron is further enhanced with carved rope and egg-and-dart molding, demonstrating the artisan’s attention to detail. The sideboard rests on massive carved paw feet, a hallmark of Italian neoclassical design, symbolizing strength and grandeur. Its generous proportions make it ideal for a formal dining room, grand hall, or stately living space, where it can serve both as a functional storage piece and as an architectural focal point. Collectors and interior designers will appreciate this sideboard’s commanding presence, superb craftsmanship, and timeless elegance—a true heirloom-quality piece that embodies the grandeur of antique Italian neoclassical furniture.
