About the Item

Refined solid chestnut cabinet, carved and painted with a thin tempera, without a chalky undercoat. The cabinet is distinguished by its linear legs, a molded top, and two doors. One of these doors opens with a key and lock, while the other has an internal interlocking lock; both doors open onto four ergonomic shelves ideal for storing objects. The painted decoration on the front and sides is highly refined, featuring geometric, linear, and diamond-shaped motifs in red, green, and yellow. This is a piece of great taste and elegance, capable of lending a touch of class and antiquity to any space. Tuscan-Umbrian manufacture (central Italy), around the beginning of the 18th century.
