15 King Street and 11 Police Street; works and warehouse, 4 Albert St., St Mary’s.
By 1883 the works had moved to Cobden Street, Lower Broughton and were making additions and extensions to their cabinet-making workshops. The Manchester Courier, 31 March 1883, announced the dissolution of the partnership of Richard Mason Esplin and Thomas Blackburn, who were carrying on the business of E. Goodall
Co., cabinet makers, upholsterers and carpet dealers at 13, 15
17 King Street, Manchester and Cobden Street, Lower Broughton, with Esplin continuing the business. Esplin, b. 1848 in Wigan, was the son of a master watch and clock maker, and had been listed as a cabinet maker and carpet warehouseman living in Didsbury in the 1881 census.

Police Street, Manchester and Cobden Street, Lower Broughton [[The Furniture Gazette, 10 March 1883; 1 October 1888]. In March 1898 the firm amalgamated with Heighway, a firm of decorators and furnishers of 53 Oxford Street, Northenden, and in the same or following year it acquired the goodwill of the retiring James Lamb, another Manchester cabinet maker; it became Goodall, Lamb and Heighway. The prospectus for a call for stock investment of 1899 also notes that the firm had agreed terms to purchase Manchester Pantechnicon Ltd, furniture removers
storers. The new business planned to modernise and rebuild the premises at King Street and Police Street. At this time, addresses of the firm were 13, 15
