Elegant Mid-Century Italian Wooden Sideboard, Milan, 1940s
This elegant mid-century Italian sideboard evokes the refined style of architect and designer Paolo Buffa.
Crafted from fine walnut with a herringbone veneer that creates a visually striking herringbone pattern. The front features four doors decorated with dynamic geometric chevron patterns, while each door is embellished with a framed rectangular mirror panel that, with a slight pink hue, adds depth and brightness to the overall effect. The gilded brass handles and keys lend a sophisticated neoclassical touch, and the structure rests on contoured side bases with elegant tapered legs. The smooth and polished top is ideal for displaying objects, while the sinuous, curved lines recall the aesthetic of 1950s Italy.
