About the Item
Franz Xaver Sproll, sideboard, walnut, Switzerland, 1960s
Swiss furniture maker Franz Xaver Sproll is known for high-quality, hand-crafted furniture in solid wood, featuring characteristic details. The viewer can follow the lines of the craftsman that treated the walnut. Same goes for the exceptional door panels with a slightly curved form and a faceted surface. The overall well-balanced proportions of the cabinet and the geometric outlay with hand-crafted features, is contrasted by the natural, subtle grain of the walnut wood.
