This French Louis XVI Directoire Style Marble Top Sideboard Buffett attributed to Maison Jansen is made of the highest quality and is bound to bring a sense of class and luxury into your home or place of choosing! This sideboard is equipped with an exceptional white Carrera marble top as well as immensely detailed Bronze ormolu mounts. This piece has 3 large doors in the front that open up into a spacious area perfect for storing away your personal belongings!
This piece is in good antique condition with the exception or some light surface scratches as well as a few deeper scratches in the finish and some minor finish loss as to be expected with an item of this age but otherwise good condition.
Maison Jansen was an interior decoration office based out of Paris founded in 1880 by Jean-Henri Jansen. They specialized in mostly Louis XVI style furniture and then progressing and adapting to changes throughout the years until they transitioned into Deco and Mid Century modern in their final years. The firm closed its doors in 1989. The firm was taken over Stephane Boudin in 1920 who continued the legacy and was responsible for decorating the white house with Jackie Kennedy while President JFK was in office.
