About the Item

Genuine Swedish classic sideboard from the gustavian period, made around 1790 in northern Sweden. Straight classic shape with pronounced corners decorated with flutes. Double doors and original tall, tapered kegs. The sideboard is made by hand with a frame in solid pine. The paint is scraped to by hand which shows the history of the piece with authentic distress and patina. The interior has fixed shelves and has never been painted. Working lock and key. The table top measures 136 by 51 cm and the sideboard is 98 cm tall to the table top with the shelf around the back measuring another 17 cm, making the total height 115 cm.
