Keller Manufacturing Company was founded in 1885 but Keller Furniture history dates to 1866 when the “Keller Store” in Corydon Indiana was established. From that time, the operation entered into various businesses, including wagon productions from 1901-1912, running an electrical light plant, manufacturing spokes for farm wagons, operation in a hub-mill, farm wagon production, building barns, producing wooden porch furniture, wooden truck bodies and refrigerator boxes, as well as making end tables, magazine racks, and chair parts and in 1933, a drop leaf table. In late 1943, Keller Furniture developed household furniture, including breakfast room suites and dinettes. In the early 1960‘s, the company introduced its first bedroom group. In 1979, Keller leased four trucks and trailers to deliver furniture directly to their furniture dealers and in 1996, the company formed Keller Dedicated Trucking, Inc. (“Keller Trucking”), a fully owned subsidiary and primarily for delivery services for their own company. Keller had been a publicly traded company and went private in May 2004. It eventually closed all three of its U.S. plants in Indiana and Virginia, effectively ending its domestic production in 2006. -Wikimapia

Vintage Ranch Oak Pair of Small Credenzas or Buffet Cabinets, A. Brandt Company
By A. Brandt Ranch Oak Furniture
Located in Topeka, KS
Fabulous pair of small credenzas or buffet cabinets by A. Brandt Company comprised of solid ranch oak with a natural oak finish. Wonderful vintage condition. One top has a joint crack that had occurred from age, but it has been repaired, it just added beauty to the patina. Please see photos, circa mid-20th century.
Yes! You are seeing double!! Aren’t these vintage ranch oak cabinets beautiful?? They are comprised of rustic solid ranch oak with a natural oak finish that is signature to A. Brandt Company furniture. The natural oak finish was made by sealing the wood, double coating it with lacquer, and applying liquid wax and Spanish whiting. Both cabinets have double doors that open to storage with a single shelf in each unit and a pair of drawers. One of the shelves in one unit is outfitted with pull-out wire hooks for hanging cups or barware. Plus, the doors and drawers feature the A. Brandt signature wood pulls. There are so many options these cabinets have to offer. They would be useful in your rustic office or den for books and office supplies or out in your ranch living room with a pair of lamps on top and linens underneath, in your dining room for tableware, or rec room as a dry bar! And strikingly useful as a pair of nightstands!! Versatile, simple, and oh-so-full-of-style!
