About the Item
This vintage Art Deco sideboard features a bold geometric design, with four paneled doors adorned with striking black stepped inlays. The warm wood finish contrasts beautifully with the dark detailing, highlighting the streamlined elegance characteristic of the Art Deco era. Resting on sturdy legs with fluted decoration, the piece combines both visual impact and functionality. Inside, the spacious storage compartments offer ample room for dining essentials, barware, or general household storage. The sturdy casework is entirely from solid teak, with no use of veneer.
During the late British Colonial period, Indian craftsmen embraced modern designs. Art Deco was the furniture of the future and embodied the idea of progress.
