About the Item

PLEASE NOTE JUST X 1 OF THESE AVAILABLE. We sourced this exceptional pair of 1920's set of drawers from a factory in Lille, Northern France. The workshop was part of a textile factory that maintained the machines. These pieces embody French Industrial heritage and craftsmanship. Crafted entirely from solid wood, these substantial multi-drawered units feature a grid of drawers - each fitted with their original metal cup handles and labels (now very worn). The wood has aged beautifully over the decades, creating a patchwork of warm browns and a tactile patina that only wear and the honest scuffs of daily industrial use can create. These chests offer historic charm and practical storage. Their authentic, timeworn surface and functional layout make it a stunning statement piece in interiors ranging from industrial lofts to artisan workshops, boutiques, or character-filled kitchens. Some restoration including replacing the tops with oak boards and strengthening the bases. Apart from that we have tried to keep these as original as possible, including leaving some of the labels ( emery paper etc ). It's tempting to wax these a dark black but you would lose all the authenticity of what they are. PLEASE NOTE JUST X 1 OF THESE AVAILABLE.
