About the Item
This is the extremely rare, modernist sideboard. Probably produced in only one copy. It strongly refers to Italian works from the 60s. It was made of high-quality birch wood, stained in shades of turquoise and blue. The pattern is surprising because it gives the impression of three-dimensionality and changes depending on the angle of light. The natural, rich grain of the wood is permeated by emerging and disappearing rhombuses. Looking frontally, they are practically invisible, but when we look at an angle - they become clear and beautifully correspond with the overall design of the furniture. The attractively decorated front is a pair of sliding doors. Inside there is one shelf and a space. Large, geometric handles are made of metal. The rounded form complements the modernist look. The base is made of carved legs, the shape of which perfectly matches the whole composition. The furnitue looks light and subtle. The original form combined with the extraordinary color of the wood used will bring harmony and order to the interior. Sideboard will successfully find its place in many spaces. It can be combined with other styles to create eclectic arrangements.
The sideboard has been partially renovated while maintaining its natural patina. It is a piece of furniture finished in accordance with the principles of upcycled vintage. Its form is original and comes from the 20th century, while the final finish has been changed through artistic invention or composing parts from various original objects. All treatments were performed using traditional methods, are consistent with the aesthetics of the era from which the furniture comes and support the idea of zero waste.
The usable size of the top is 150 cm.
