About the Item

Midcentury modern sideboard characterized by clean lines and details in essential lines.This sideboard consists of two separate parts, a three-door low sideboard and a two-door high sideboard. This element of furniture can be placed in the middle or slightly to the right of the low sideboard. A beautiful example of a piece of furniture in essence. Alfred Hendrickx began his career at the company De Coene Frères, in Kortrijk, Belgium, where he designed modern and functional furniture. After this period he went to work for the company Belform in Mechelen, where he designed a collection of furniture made of exotic wood that was very successful. His designs were characterized by the bauhaus style, characterized by a lack of ornament and a focus on clean lines that reduce forms to their essential elements. Attention to detail and the use of high-quality materials. Hendrickx's creations were widely distributed in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Today, Hendrickx's furniture is very popular with collectors and enthusiasts of Midcentury modern. They are often considered iconic examples of the Belgian modernist style.
