About the Item

Refined Scandinavian modern sideboard designed by Børge Mogensen and produced by Karl Andersson Söner in Sweden during the 1960s. The piece reflects Mogensen’s hallmark approach to functional, honest design—clean lines, excellent proportions, and a focus on high-quality craftsmanship. Constructed with a veneered oak frame and solid oak legs, the sideboard is fitted with beautifully grained teak sliding doors that create a warm tonal contrast. The interior offers practical storage with shelving and original removable trays in contrasting colors, a thoughtful detail that enhances everyday usability while adding a discreet graphic accent typical of Nordic modern furniture of the era. Raised on tapered solid oak legs, the cabinet has a light, architectural presence despite its generous storage capacity. Its versatile format allows it to function equally well as a sideboard, media cabinet, or dining room storage piece. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Minor surface wear and small marks consistent with age and use. Structurally solid, with a well-preserved finish and an attractive natural patina.
