About the Item
A bold ogee molding is pinned onto the top of the case of this splendid dresser base, to create a nicely formed step down edge. Two short hand-cut dovetailed drawers with deep and shapely faux paneled fronts are flanked and separated with elongated pyramid appliques. The front corners bear wide fluted moldings, topped with carved hardwood corbels. Two sturdy pivot-hinged doors have shapely rails and stiles that create Turkish style faux panels. A hardwood rope twist astragal stands in between. The doors open to a single interior shelf. This is a handsome accent or storage piece for any room in the house. Removal of the feet would make a good base for a powder room vanity.
