Rare sideboard in rosewood by Norwegian designer Torbjørn Afdal for Nejestranda Møbelfabrik.
This sideboard is a true masterpiece that rarely appears on the market. The sideboard features four doors that are tightly fitted side by side, creating a magnificent flat rosewood wall on the front. Only the best veneer parts have been used for this sideboard with stunning grain on all sides.
Condition: Very good condition with some minor scratches on the top, shown in picture. One shelf is missing.

Torbjørn Afdal
Torbjørn Afdal was one of the leading designers at Bruksbo Tegnekontor and in Scandinavia. Afdal became more well known when his furniture was bought by US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and by the Japanese Emperor. In later years, he was granted the commission to design the parliamentary and chairs and tables to the courthouse in Oslo.
