About the Item
Spectacular walnut sideboard by Piet Hein, Denmark 1960s is a rare beast. Striking exoskeleton frame- with brass details at the ends- around the body; 'bowtie' shaped top; carved quilted central drawer; sculptural gilt metal handles.
Three large drawers in the centre, flanked by doors which open to reveal three inner drawers.
No makers' label, but this designer's 'exoskeleton' pieces are well documented online.
Looks like it may have been lightly restored at some point in its life.
