About the Item
This is a beautiful and unusual sideboard in carved solid wood and walnut burl, made in Europe in the 1940s.
The wonderful and sometimes even grotesque carvings, combined with the wonderful wood grain of the burl make this sideboard a rare and unusual piece of furniture. Very high quality - well made. Lots of interesting details. Please note the wonderfully made drawers behind one of the doors, the grotesque face carvings on both sides and the sculptural fish-like sculptures on top.
Comes in a good and original condition with some wear due to age and use - most notable some stains on the top and one fish is slightly warped. Overall in great condition.
