About the Item
A superb vintage sideboard by Gunther Hoffstead for Uniflex. This was made in England, it dates from the 1960’s.
The design is stunning, this is extremely well made with many fine features. The U shaped sides are characteristic of Hofftstead’s designs for Uniflex, and give this a distinctive look. The handles are beautifully recessed. The most unusual aspect of this sideboard the right hand side of the cabinet, which opens up vertically to reveal a drinks storage cabinet, with a formica topped serving are and a removable bottle rack. The back of this sideboard is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.
The grain patterns and colour tones are stunning, we have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard. The condition is superb throughout.
