About the Item

Bring charm and height to your display with this tall and narrow antique vitrine cabinet. Crafted in Normandy, France circa 1880 and built in two sections of solid oak, the elegant display case features two glazed doors, upper and lower, each framed by deeply carved floral and scroll motifs in the Régence style. The piece is topped with a molded cornice above a carved frieze, and the sides are fitted with additional glass panels to allow maximum visibility from every angle. Inside, both compartments include glass shelving (one shelf per section, adjustable to accommodate three or four), offering ample space to showcase fine porcelain, crystal, or collectibles. The cabinet stands on a molded plinth base and retains its original locks and hardware. Richly carved throughout with hand-chiseled foliate accents and shaped moldings, this stately yet slender vitrine is ideal for hallways, libraries, or intimate salon spaces. In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, it boasts a warm walnut-toned patina that enhances the depth of the carvings and natural grain of the oak. Measures: 32″ W × 21.5″ D × 99″ H.
