A stunning French Louis XV-style vitrine dating from the late 19th century, combining elegance, functionality, and fine craftsmanship. This display cabinet features a graceful serpentine front and bowed glass side panels, allowing a clear view of the interior from multiple angles. It is richly adorned with finely chiseled gilt bronze (ormolu) mounts in floral and foliate motifs, enhancing the legs, apron, corners, and door frame.
The vitrine opens to a velvet-lined interior in a warm golden tone with three shaped shelves, perfect for presenting porcelain, collectibles, or other decorative treasures. The original glass door locks with a charming ornate key, adding to its authentic character.
Topped with a beautifully contoured white marble surface, subtly veined with grey, and encircled by a finely pierced brass gallery, this vitrine reflects the refinement of late 19th-century French decorative arts. The piece stands firmly on elegant cabriole legs terminating in bronze sabots.
