About the Item
This is a wonderful one glass shelf curio cabinet or vitrine painted in Russian style with faux malachite and a double headed eagle at the bottom. There are French inspired accents around the door and curved glass sides. The top corners display elegant brass woman's heads with flowing hair with brass ormolu surrounds the very top and fancier ormolu wraps around the top of the malachite decorated body and the glass in the door and curved glass sides, it also outlines the bottom of the cabinet and the keyhole is accentuated by a beautiful long piece of ormolu.
The painting is not as old as the vitrine but it was done by someone who is very skilled. There are some signs of age cracking but overall this piece is in good condition. It measures 52 inches high, 25 inches wide and 15 inches deep. The shelf is 13.5 inces from the bottom and 14.5 inches from the top.
