About the Item

A Dutch Rococo display cabinet crafted in veneered walnut and richly decorated with marquetry in light maple and satinwood, featuring floral, leaf, vase, and bird motifs—all executed with exceptional precision and craftsmanship. The profiled, sweeping top is carved with a shell motif and flower, framed by fine marquetry details. The front features glass doors with muntins that follow the curve of the top, and the angled sides are likewise fitted with glass and matching muntins. The bombe-shaped lower section contains three spacious drawers, each with marquetry and original gilt bronze fittings. The legs are carved in the classic claw-and-ball form, emphasizing the cabinet’s Rococo character. Untouched and in good condition. The Netherlands (Holland), 1770–1800
