About the Item

A wonderful and most decorative Dutch 18th century Walnut and Fruitwood cabinet vitrine. This exceptionally designed four door cabinet is raised by two square block back supports and front bun feet. The straight concave shaped inlaid frieze is elegantly inlaid with a foliate and floral pattern. Above are the two central richly inlaid doors with an exquisite floral marquetry of urns at the center filled with a large bouquet of various flowers amidst foliate scrolls. The two doors are flanked by two cut angled panels which are decorated similarly to the central doors. Above are two large front Glass paned doors flanked by the same cut angled side panels fitted with Glass. The edge of the Glass panels are additionally decorated by floral marquetry inlays. Inside lays the original three shelves displaying carved back grooves to be able to safely display china on the vertical. The top inlaid crown has the same concave shape as the bottom frieze. All original warm and rich patina throughout.
