About the Item
A very well made Sinuous French Vitrine Cabinet topped with a Colorful veined Marble in Pinks, Browns and White. The Cabinet has French type motifs of Bundled Reed corner supports topped with Shell carvings and terminating in a bold Hoof Foot. There is a false drawer at top and below is a Display Space with glass door as well as open storage below. The Reed Bundle corner supports have Gilt Ribbon ties and Rectangular Decorative Gilt Mounts complete this most Decorative Vitrine Cabinet. Stamped on the back by the maker “E. Levieil”.
Dimensions: 22” wide by 18” deep by 57.25” high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Missing the bottom space separators, repaired break to lower top shelf, glass door lacks a key, old glue drip mark and some sporadic wood and finish losses. Although some level of restoration may be desired, the Cabinet retains an interesting and sinuous presentation.
