About the Item

A charming Swedish bookcase from the late 19th century, newly repainted in a soft grey on the exterior with a bluish-grey wash inside. The upper section features a pair of glazed doors framed with mullions, opening to adjustable shelving ideal for books or display. Below, two paneled cabinet doors reveal additional storage with a single interior shelf, making the piece as functional as it is elegant. The cabinet rests on small block feet and retains its simple neoclassical lines, characteristic of Swedish craftsmanship in this period. The contrast between the muted exterior and the softly colored interior creates a subtle depth, while the natural wood visible on the interior doors adds warmth and authenticity.
