Vitrine exceptionnelle par Léon Jallot – 1910 Magnifique vitrine en bois de hêtre signée Léon Jallot, datant de 1910. Bibliographie : Référencée dans Alastair Duncan - Les Salons de Paris. 1895-1914, Volume III : Mobilier, Éditions Antique Collectors Club, 1999 – Modèle reproduit à l’identique page 310. Léon Jallot : Un maître de la transition entre l’Art Nouveau et l’Art Déco Ébéniste et sculpteur sur bois, il débute en tant que directeur de l'atelier Art Nouveau du collectionneur Siegfried Bing. 1901 : Membre fondateur du premier Salon des Artistes Décorateurs. 1903 : Fonde son propre atelier de décoration et élargit son champ d’action à la verrerie, aux tapis et aux tissus. Dès 1908, il s’éloigne des ornements floraux de l’Art Nouveau pour explorer des formes plus linéaires, préfigurant l’Art Déco. 1925 : Il réalise du mobilier pour le pavillon de l’ambassade française et l’Hôtel du Collectionneur lors de l’Exposition internationale des Arts Décoratifs et industriels modernes. 1921 : Il collabore avec son fils Maurice Jallot, intégrant des matériaux innovants tels que le métal et les matières synthétiques. Léon Jallot: A Master of the Art Nouveau to Art Deco Transition Cabinetmaker and wood sculptor, he began as director of Siegfried Bing's Art Nouveau workshop. 1901: Founding member of the first Salon of Decorative Artists. 1903: Established his own workshop, expanding into glassware, carpets, and textiles. From 1908, he distanced himself from floral ornamentation in favor of linear designs, paving the way for Art Deco. 1925: Created furniture for the French Embassy Pavilion and the Hôtel du Collectionneur at the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris. 1921: Began collaborating with his son Maurice Jallot, integrating innovative materials like metal and synthetics into their designs. A museum-worthy piece, embodying the shift from Art Nouveau to Art Deco.
