About the Item

An 18th century Louis XV fruitwood armoire with a shaped cornice above a pair of paneled doors, each fitted with molded reserves and decorative metal escutcheons, one retaining a tassel pull. The case opens to a shelved interior with plank construction visible to the back and sides, and a lower interior compartment beneath the shelves. The exterior shows shaped door panels, carved and molded detailing along the cornice and apron, and cabriole feet supporting the case.
